Why are environmental issues important to Gourmet Fayre?

The environment that we live in is an amazing place so we all need to look after and take care of it to ensure the generations after us also get to enjoy this spectacular place
We are taking every step we can to limit our effect on the environment.
By discussing environmental issues with suppliers we are able to source products that have a lesser impact on the environment; we also try and source local products wherever possible.
The efficiency of our delivery transport has been looked at and through working in conjunction with our couriers we have prevented 'empty' journeys and limited re-deliveries. Our routes have been planned to be more effective in use of fuel.
The dry ice we purchase is made from 100% recycled carbon dioxide (CO₂).
Our main cold store is also ECA approved therefore saving 31% on electrical usage.
Our office staff are always taking steps to minimize waste. An in-house environmental office has been appointed to ensure our team are only printing when necessary, re-using scrap paper and recycling cardboard, bottles, cans etc. Some of the team also car pool or use public transport to get to work.
